With extensive knowledge of the field of medicine and a drive to bring the unique concept of a “boutique hospital” to Qatar, we introduced a smaller, relaxed, more intimate, and less crowded hospital that offered the same state-of-the-art technology and capabilities as the rest.
Our History
1992
Dr. Mamdouh Farid, PhD (Manchester), MSc, HDD, BDS started from humble beginnings and established the first branch of Queen Dental Center, with a team of dental experts, 4 operating rooms, a central sterilization station, a radiology department, and a dental laboratory.
Another branch of the Queen Dental Center was inaugurated with more capacity; 8 operating rooms and a central sterilization station. This branch became home to the latest technology at the time including a digital panoramic extraoral and intraoral X-ray machine, intraoral cameras, whitening lamps, and a soft laser machine.
2003
2010
As Queen Dental Center expanded, a new healthcare facility was introduced, Queen Medical Center was inaugurated at the prestigious Villaggio Mall. From expert orthopedic and dermatological care to laparoscopic and laser treatments, this branch was equipped with inpatient and outpatient facilities, operating and recovery rooms, and state-of-the-art laboratory and radiology departments.
Queen Hospital embarked on a new journey of transformaiton. A significant chapter unfolded as Queen Hospital was rebranded to Al Farid Hospital. Amidst the celebration of the 32 fruitful years in the healthcare industry, the unveiling event was graced by the presence of H.E. Shiekh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, and H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population in Egypt.
